Sea water desalination system consist of 3 stages; pre-treatment system, RO system and post treatment.

DMF system is pre-treatment of seawater and it is used for the removal of turbidity and suspended solids as low as 10-20 microns. Dual media filters provide very efficient particle removal under the conditions of high filtration rate.

RO system uses a high-pressure pump to increase the force in the water across the semi-permeable RO membrane, leaving almost all of dissolved salts behind in the reject stream.

Post treatment processes often include disinfection using suitable biocides, pH adjustment, and possibly the addition of suitable corrosion inhibitors.
